Really Raw Honey Treats Recipe

Really Raw Honey Treats

4 cups organic nut butter (almond butter) or pulverized nuts of any kind
1 cup dried unsweetened coconut
2/3 cup unsweetened carob or cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups of Raw Honey (wax like consistency instead of liquid like typical honey)
1/2 cup melted coconut oil
1/2 cup de-stoned dates, dried prunes or dried figs, chopped finely

Note: you can reduce the amount of honey or combine with another less sweet sweetener like brown rice syrup, if desired.

1. Mix all ingredients together by hand or in a food processor.
2. Roll into balls.
3. For variety, roll in ground almonds, sesame seeds, or shredded coconut. For a crunchy feel, add 1/4 cup of nut pieces at end.
4. Refrigerate or freeze for extended life.

You can also spread mixture into an oiled 9 x 13 baking dish and top with desiccated coconut to make honey squares instead of balls.
